Last time of fun.

ohyes. On New Year's Eve,

we had watch night service.

and watchnight was held in a different way cause of the group related stuff.

like more games and group discussions and group testimony time^^

prayer for a fellow bro/sis in Christ.

Oh goodness...I look so the fat.

After watchnight, we were to have our youth sleepover at the church.

so our first plan was to go yumcha {at 12 am+}

and also to celebrate Sarah's birthday.

her bday's on the NuYear.

Oldtown was closed, and Station 1..{too far??}

so we went to Papa Rich.

haha...its like so copycattish..the name..

yah...its one of those places that sell the mexican bun too.

den by the time everyone went to sleep,

it was I think,

7 or 8 in the morning.

hahahah..XD

and before sleeping also we sumore

the girls woke up at 12.30pm BECAUSE

of the boys who were already awake

and started banging away at the drums and other music instruments.

dang NOISY.

kacau betul.

anyway we didn't care and still slept on for awhile.

TODAY WAS

CANAAN CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE DAY.

yeah^^

it was great.

especially with all the orphanages and people coming.

overall 511 people turned up.

exceeding our target of 500 ppl.^.^

all our time, effort and did I mention, time practicing and preparing,

and having meetings,

certainly doesn't come to waste.

yeah.

I'm BACK from the youth retreat.

It seriously ROCKED.

Unlike the previous retreat we had,

majority of the time we PLAYED AND HAD FUN^^

yeah, the were some downs- like some people got injured *hahahXD*

and even saddened. But nonetheless,

we all bonded and now, our friendships with each other are stronger than ever.

It's especially cool to really get to know people like Andrea, Kevin, Luanne and Lynelle whom previously were not close to us.

Among the highlights and killer moments of the retreat were the

time we drove all the way from PD to KL to witness Lemuel's graduation.

and were late by the time we got there..^^ XD

and the Go-kart time,

where Sarah couldn't speed because of her go-kart, hahah..

or not she would have damaged the track with her super fast driving =)

and the obstacle course,

where me and Rachel completed almost everything. yeah!

and where Jonas {almost} lost his shoe in thick mud.

and the treasure hunt,

which started out in a super chi gek manner,

but came to an abrupt end because ...zzz

and it was a disappointment to the planning commitee.

Including me. well, I'm not that mad..but...we did do and prepare and sacrifice alot. so...aiyah...nth.

and the workshop and worship sessions,

where everyone went super hyper

and worshiped the Lord joyfully

*yeah! I am a friend of God! heyheyhey!*

that was how hyper.

and the game and fellowship sessions,

we really chitchatted and played together like nobody's business.

and the beach and hermit crab finding sessions,

one word- SYIOK.

hahahXD

and well, everything ROCKED!

hehe..

sorry no pics at the moment, but I enjoyed it alot.

especially the times when I got to talk to me friends^^

okay, I won't be updating in a week.

yes, I know, what's a good post without piccies rite..

but I wanna post this today and I don't have most of the pics so bear with me k.

I'll upload the pics when I get them. Meanwhile..

yesh...

even though we had quite a small number of children..

43 to be exact..

we still had a FUN TIME OUT

yeah!

so the youth present to help were Twinkle, Sarah, Melissa, Ir Vin, Jonas, Jason and me.

some of you ppl may be wondering, WHAT ON EARTH IS VBS ??!!

VacationalBibleSchool

its a camp tailored specially for children to fill their holidays with some

growing-in-God goodness to help the children learn more about God and at the same time, HAVE FUN

all of us, the current youth, grew up with many experiences,

sweet and sour moments,

God discovering moments

all during

VBS.

yeah..so u can imagine why even though we are past the age limit

we still wanna join^^

so back to VBS.

this time round, the theme was based on the Fruits of the Spirit.

when we reached the place on the 17th

it was raining.

and we had to move all our stuffs {games items}

to the hall, which was okla in size..but a little too small for games..^^

the kids were less than excited but we got the atmosphere pumped up with Unca Rowlance

leading them in some worship.

then we had some icebreakers and the sessions as usual.

I think this time round

we the assistant teachers worked really hard!

I'm not just saying for myself

but I think I pushed the guys to work hard too XD haha..

as the guys said themselves

"ing go yeh pei lam yan jou"

{these things are for the guys to do}

hahah..

so there were three teams :

Green : Love

Blue : Joy {my team} ^^

Yellow : Patience

and well, Green was leading at first,

but soon, Blue caught up and took over after earning 5oo marks

then Yellow became dominant because of how well they behaved during the programmes.

later on, on the first day

we youth practiced to present the Champion skit we had previously presented in church.

then we had dinner.

and I must say

THE FOOD IS GREAT mann.

the spread was good for all three days.

breakfast, lunch, dinner rocked!

haha..exaggerating here but the food was just as nice larh.

then after dinner there was a session and we presented the skit.

at which Jonas fell to the ground

{Jonas was Jesus and Melissa, Satan, fought with him and hit him to the ground}

Jonas fell so dramatically and OVER ly that me, sarah, and twink couldn't help laughing.

{mind you we were acting as angels,:laughing, giggling angels}

hahah..XD

Jonas is good lah at acting this kind of thing.

then later, the children were to do a craft

some sort of catch-the-ball-with-the-bottle-craft-game

when it was time for the children to go to sleep

all of us teachers had to stay and help out to prepare the next day's

craft.

we went absolutely high during that time

wait.correction..not we but JASON was super high

high as in jump up and down, singing, talking loudly, like drunk high..

we the girls were just rolling our eyes everytime the guys did stupid but funny things.

we cut craft materials, chatted and became high until like 12+ i think.

then when we went back to the dorm {we crept silently}

we saw and heard cute sights and sounds.^^

aww..some girls were snoring and

Twinkle heard a girl sleep talking^^

and here comes the funniest sight,

we saw one girl who was sleeping horizontally across the bed..as in 180 degrees

hahahahahaXD so cute

and we thought she was the blanket at first ^.^

we were wondering like how in the world she could fit the bed horizontally mann..hahaha..XDXD

this same girl slept at like maybe 45 degrees the second night

nearly horizontal.

her mother had warned not to let her sleep on the top bunk.

so fastforward next morning..

most of us teachers didn't sleep well

because the girls woke up like 6 sth and started making noise and in turn woke us all up

when breakfast would only start at 9..

*huhu..nt enuf slp man..sumore so active and high the night before*

woke up with a badder sore throat.

oh yes, SO many people fell sick during or before VBS.

unca rowlance lah, aunti nancy lah, sarah lah, twinkle lah..

sick season.

all of a sudden, Esther became close to us

and as usual kena teased with Jason..

hahah..

as MOST of us know the then 7 year-old Esther had a history

of chui-ing _____ sumbody during VBS a few years ago.

she some how manages to get herself teased with a dude everytime.

sumore now just eleven years old. ^^

but still, she was a help to us lah..with the skits and helping to manage the children.

she's supposed to be the participant

but she's helping us out.

nevermind, she's being mature ^.~

so the day went on

the fun really started

after lunch.

I organized some games

indoor+outdoor

and the best part was we played with water balloons^^

after the game with the water balloons was over

we still had some left

and when there are extra water balloons...

you know lah..water war will began ^^.

before I could take the container with the water balloons so that the children wouldn't fight over it,

all the kids started rushing in like a stampede

omgudness....my toe also was stepped on..

{super the pain man! }

aisyeh..kids will be kids..haha..

I even saw some keganasan among the boys.they were fighting for water balloons..

well...quote Lydia : "Boys will be boys"

so..in the end no water balloons were left for us, youth to play. *sniff.

but well, we managed to have OUR time to enjoy after all

as soon after was pool time =)

although we had to jaga the kids when they were swimming,

we still played like super siau..^^

so many water fights man..

I tell you, when Ir Vin or Jason serang during water fights,

the result is super powerful ..

in the end melissa finally went down into the pool after we serang her with water for many times XP XD

Pastor Daniel held competitons with the guys

and we helped Twinkle to swim=) yay^^

while we were tengah "song"

playing then suddenly it started to rain..

too bad..when it rains its the best time to play. but well, when the kids go up,

we too have to.

I must say..Luanne's mom iss so the cool..

she plays basketball, she throws water balloons at people

and she swims.

not every mother will do that.

after dinner, there were sessions again.

this time we acted in 3 skits for pastor Evonne.

2 were potrayals of patience while the last was a skit, the prodigal son.

here, our dear Jonas showed of his acting chops by kissing Ir Vin.

yes. Kissing Ir Vin. hahah..nt really lah..

fake kissing.

but he made it look like he had never seen his son in ages.

which is the story of the prodigal son.

the funny part however is dis :

pastor Daniel(narrator) : and the father saw him from afar and ran to his son

and hugged him and kissed him

jonas(father) : (kissed Ir Vin)

(Ir Vin ducks ^^)

pastor Daniel : and he kissed him some more...

(jonas kisses him again^^)

the kids are laughing like mad here XD

after the skit ended,

Jonas did the gay hand thing (hahah) and said : I'm half gay.

hahahahahahaXD

then, we divided into groups and started practicing for the group skit the following day.

yeah..we had very little time only..

but we managed to pull it off..^^

getting my group members to practice was *well superdifficult and can diewan*

and I can say proudly : the ideas are mostly from them not me.

once more after the kids went to bed

we played games like uno and speed.

and I've learned 2 new things!

we weren't so high then^^

we said goodbyes to the children

they said goodbyes to us

some children we'll see next saturday

some we may not see for a long time.

yeah..this is the day we have all been waiting for.

yes, I'm home resting from carrying heavy stuffs all day long, to school, back from school, to and fro in school, while walking home. yeah..so tired la..haha..

so the day started out with some finishing of the tags and the titles.

yeah..as mentioned earlier our class theme is

me, leva and nareen missed out on the opening due to some form 1 girl.

she HAD to bring handphone to school with the reason

"I dunnola..I really dunno cannot bring handphone today"

i was like aiyoyo......

then when we brought her to Pn.P. Pn.P asked her why she brought it and other questions..

and then she commented

"My mother can come take the phone now ah?"

"I dunnola cannot bring. I thought maybe oni will kena rampas"

wat duh~

anyway..back to the party..

we went party hopping for awhile too. we visited some happening places^^

then we ate and ate and ate and drank sparkling juice. (hasil kemenangan drama competition)

meanwhile some great music was playing.

*I played some malay songs. Yes, malay songs. Well some are nice and I only like songs from

Hujan the indie band.

well I guess our class was the plainest in deco but well, we made up for activities. =)

i guess we really had A party going. It wasn't boring or anything.

during makan time we had mini dance sessions for any nice song that came on.

Cassandra did a bharanatyam dance complete with jingly bells at her feet and costume. It was really good mann..i really liked how she moved. besides, I've never seen bhara upclose.

Then, Ming Yi and Arulina did a dance with a HSM song.

we followed with a photoshoot accompanied with music.

then, we started off with dancefloor and singing sessions.

I must say our class was quite sportingla, singing to the songs playing. then we played games..lotsa games. games where ppl lost and nobody won and games where ppl won and nobody lost. we played one game where someone would imitate class members and even teachers^.~ to everyone else to guess. the teacher's part was funn.

muahaha..XD

yah, and we, the royal family drank something in class that's not so permitted in school.^^

heheh.. wanna noe what that is? ..something la..

we played some food games then..

the monitor and assistant monitor felt like taking pictures so they well, posed in the most sakai, syiok sendiri manner. All their poses had to do with loving the whiteboard by sticking to and hugging the whiteboard.

owh, not to mention, they must have loved the whiteboard design courtesy of An Qi very much.

oooohhh..the design is so good that I gotta go CLOSE to it

yes, we all decided to do crazy stuff. so we decided to take it to a new level by performing a stunt. Not really stuntla..^^ but since our monitor is Queenie, we made her queen by letting her walk on our backs.

as I said, crazy stuff.

next,

Leva led another dance related game. It was the statue game. we used hiphop music at first then we slowly shifted to waltz and slowsongs.

as you see..this whole party involved music ALOT. heheh^^

then, Leva introduced a little slow dancing with some mini waltz lessons for our eager classmates who then danced it. in partners of two. Leva divided them into male and female parts too, just to be real sikit. Fun ma. haha..

after that, we played some game that I suggested that involved hitting. And i guessed i used a wee bit too much newspaper for the hitting baton, as one hit really hurt.

then me and leva went to get ice-cream. when we came back, we had the award ceremony.

special awards were given to special ppl.

for example : following our class theme the titles were like So the Loudspeaker(Cheryl)

and So Picasso(for our great artist,An Qi). there were others.

previously, there was some problem between hadaina and vancy. and so hadaina wanted to reconcile by singing a song and apologizing during this time as the So Sharpay award went to Vancy.

So..i guess it is good thing, friendships were reconciled. happy moments^^I hope so..

Queenie as Miss 2S

then 3 special awards were given to Hadaina, Kavina and Queenie for their hardwork and voluntary work for the class. basically, berjasa or membantu banyak la.

then after, we went giving more tchers ice-cream and souvenirs.

soon after, we had to clean up.

our class took a long time to clean up everything..I think we were one of the last classes to finish cleaning up. but that was because we partied harder =)

yup..it was a great partay.

and the game and fellowship sessions,

we really chitchatted and played together like nobody's business.

and the beach and hermit crab finding sessions,

one word- SYIOK.

and well, everything ROCKED!

hehe..

sorry no pics at the moment, but I enjoyed it alot.

especially the times when I got to talk to me friends^^

yes, I know, what's a good post without piccies rite..

but I wanna post this today and I don't have most of the pics so bear with me k.

I'll upload the pics when I get them. Meanwhile..

yesh...

even though we had quite a small number of children..

43 to be exact..

we still had a FUN TIME OUT

yeah!

so the youth present to help were Twinkle, Sarah, Melissa, Ir Vin, Jonas, Jason and me.

some of you ppl may be wondering, WHAT ON EARTH IS VBS ??!!

its a camp tailored specially for children to fill their holidays with some

growing-in-God goodness to help the children learn more about God and at the same time, HAVE FUN

all of us, the current youth, grew up with many experiences,

sweet and sour moments,

God discovering moments

all during

VBS.

yeah..so u can imagine why even though we are past the age limit

we still wanna join^^

so back to VBS.

this time round, the theme was based on the Fruits of the Spirit.

when we reached the place on the 17th

it was raining.

and we had to move all our stuffs {games items}

to the hall, which was okla in size..but a little too small for games..^^

the kids were less than excited but we got the atmosphere pumped up with Unca Rowlance

leading them in some worship.

then we had some icebreakers and the sessions as usual.

I think this time round

we the assistant teachers worked really hard!

I'm not just saying for myself

but I think I pushed the guys to work hard too XD haha..

as the guys said themselves

"ing go yeh pei lam yan jou"

{these things are for the guys to do}

hahah..

so there were three teams :

Green : Love

Blue : Joy {my team} ^^

Yellow : Patience

and well, Green was leading at first,

but soon, Blue caught up and took over after earning 5oo marks

then Yellow became dominant because of how well they behaved during the programmes.

later on, on the first day

we youth practiced to present the Champion skit we had previously presented in church.

then we had dinner.

and I must say

THE FOOD IS GREAT mann.

the spread was good for all three days.

breakfast, lunch, dinner rocked!

haha..exaggerating here but the food was just as nice larh.

then after dinner there was a session and we presented the skit.

at which Jonas fell to the ground

{Jonas was Jesus and Melissa, Satan, fought with him and hit him to the ground}

Jonas fell so dramatically and OVER ly that me, sarah, and twink couldn't help laughing.

{mind you we were acting as angels,:laughing, giggling angels}

hahah..XD

Jonas is good lah at acting this kind of thing.

then later, the children were to do a craft

when it was time for the children to go to sleep

all of us teachers had to stay and help out to prepare the next day's

craft.

we went absolutely high during that time

wait.correction..not we but JASON was super high

high as in jump up and down, singing, talking loudly, like drunk high..

we the girls were just rolling our eyes everytime the guys did stupid but funny things.

we cut craft materials, chatted and became high until like 12+ i think.

then when we went back to the dorm {we crept silently}

we saw and heard cute sights and sounds.^^

aww..some girls were snoring and

Twinkle heard a girl sleep talking^^

and here comes the funniest sight,

we saw one girl who was sleeping horizontally across the bed..as in 180 degrees

hahahahahaXD so cute

and we thought she was the blanket at first ^.^

we were wondering like how in the world she could fit the bed horizontally mann..hahaha..XDXD

this same girl slept at like maybe 45 degrees the second night

nearly horizontal.

her mother had warned not to let her sleep on the top bunk.

so fastforward next morning..

most of us teachers didn't sleep well

because the girls woke up like 6 sth and started making noise and in turn woke us all up

when breakfast would only start at 9..

*huhu..nt enuf slp man..sumore so active and high the night before*

woke up with a badder sore throat.

oh yes, SO many people fell sick during or before VBS.

unca rowlance lah, aunti nancy lah, sarah lah, twinkle lah..

sick season.

all of a sudden, Esther became close to us

and as usual kena teased with Jason..

hahah..

as MOST of us know the then 7 year-old Esther had a history

of chui-ing _____ sumbody during VBS a few years ago.

she some how manages to get herself teased with a dude everytime.

sumore now just eleven years old. ^^

but still, she was a help to us lah..with the skits and helping to manage the children.

she's supposed to be the participant

but she's helping us out.

nevermind, she's being mature ^.~

so the day went on

the fun really started

after lunch.

I organized some games

indoor+outdoor

and the best part was we played with water balloons^^

after the game with the water balloons was over

we still had some left

and when there are extra water balloons...

you know lah..water war will began ^^.

before I could take the container with the water balloons so that the children wouldn't fight over it,

all the kids started rushing in like a stampede

omgudness....my toe also was stepped on..

{super the pain man! }

aisyeh..kids will be kids..haha..

I even saw some keganasan among the boys.they were fighting for water balloons..

well...quote Lydia : "Boys will be boys"

so..in the end no water balloons were left for us, youth to play. *sniff.

but well, we managed to have OUR time to enjoy after all

as soon after was pool time =)

although we had to jaga the kids when they were swimming,

we still played like super siau..^^

so many water fights man..

I tell you, when Ir Vin or Jason serang during water fights,

the result is super powerful ..

in the end melissa finally went down into the pool after we serang her with water for many times XP XD

Pastor Daniel held competitons with the guys

and we helped Twinkle to swim=) yay^^

while we were tengah "song"

playing then suddenly it started to rain..

too bad..when it rains its the best time to play. but well, when the kids go up,

we too have to.

I must say..Luanne's mom iss so the cool..

she plays basketball, she throws water balloons at people

and she swims.

not every mother will do that.

after dinner, there were sessions again.

this time we acted in 3 skits for pastor Evonne.

2 were potrayals of patience while the last was a skit, the prodigal son.

here, our dear Jonas showed of his acting chops by kissing Ir Vin.

yes. Kissing Ir Vin. hahah..nt really lah..

fake kissing.

but he made it look like he had never seen his son in ages.

which is the story of the prodigal son.

the funny part however is dis :

pastor Daniel(narrator) : and the father saw him from afar and ran to his son

and hugged him and kissed him

jonas(father) : (kissed Ir Vin)

(Ir Vin ducks ^^)

pastor Daniel : and he kissed him some more...

(jonas kisses him again^^)

the kids are laughing like mad here XD

after the skit ended,

Jonas did the gay hand thing (hahah) and said : I'm half gay.

hahahahahahaXD

fun-ny..=)

then, we divided into groups and started practicing for the group skit the following day.

yeah..we had very little time only..

but we managed to pull it off..^^

getting my group members to practice was *well superdifficult and can diewan*

and I can say proudly : the ideas are mostly from them not me.

once more after the kids went to bed

we played games like uno and speed.

and I've learned 2 new things!

speed and a piano duet with Twinkle^^

we weren't so high then^^

but still high larh..haha..

finally, the next day..

my sorethroat got worst.

and we were one step closer to finding the winner^^

3rd - Blue

all though my team got last but still they're the best^^

heheh..

they did well for their skit

so the stuff were loaded to the van

and we checked the dorms one last time

byebye pool I'll miss you^^

so that's the VBS happy ending..

we said goodbyes to the children

they said goodbyes to us

phone numbers, some, exchanged.

some children we'll see next saturday

some we may not see for a long time.

that was it..^^

yeah..this is the day we have all been waiting for.

yes, I'm home resting from carrying heavy stuffs all day long, to school, back from school, to and fro in school, while walking home. yeah..so tired la..haha..

so the day started out with some finishing of the tags and the titles.

yeah..as mentioned earlier our class theme is

later on..

me, leva and nareen missed out on the opening due to some form 1 girl.

she HAD to bring handphone to school with the reason

"I dunnola..I really dunno cannot bring handphone today"

i was like aiyoyo......

then when we brought her to Pn.P. Pn.P asked her why she brought it and other questions..

and then she commented

"My mother can come take the phone now ah?"

"I dunnola cannot bring. I thought maybe oni will kena rampas"

wat duh~

anyway..back to the party..

we went party hopping for awhile too. we visited some happening places^^

then we ate and ate and ate and drank sparkling juice. (hasil kemenangan drama competition)

meanwhile some great music was playing.

*I played some malay songs. Yes, malay songs. Well some are nice and I only like songs from

well I guess our class was the plainest in deco but well, we made up for activities. =)

i guess we really had A party going. It wasn't boring or anything.

during makan time we had mini dance sessions for any nice song that came on.

Cassandra

Cassandra did a bharanatyam dance complete with jingly bells at her feet and costume. It was really good mann..i really liked how she moved. besides, I've never seen bhara upclose.

Then, Ming Yi and Arulina did a dance with a HSM song.

we followed with a photoshoot accompanied with music.

then, we started off with dancefloor and singing sessions.

muahaha..XD

yah, and we, the royal family drank something in class that's not so permitted in school.^^

heheh.. wanna noe what that is? ..something la..

we played some food games then..

owh, not to mention, they must have loved the whiteboard design courtesy of An Qi very much.

later Leva decided to join them

oooohhh..the design is so good that I gotta go CLOSE to it

as I said, crazy stuff.

next,

Leva led another dance related game. It was the statue game. we used hiphop music at first then we slowly shifted to waltz and slowsongs.

after that, we played some game that I suggested that involved hitting. And i guessed i used a wee bit too much newspaper for the hitting baton, as one hit really hurt.

then me and leva went to get ice-cream. when we came back, we had the award ceremony.

special awards were given to special ppl.

for example : following our class theme the titles were like So the Loudspeaker(Cheryl)

and So Picasso(for our great artist,An Qi). there were others.

when it came down to announcing the So Sharpay awardwinner, something special took place.

previously, there was some problem between hadaina and vancy. and so hadaina wanted to reconcile by singing a song and apologizing during this time as the So Sharpay award went to Vancy.

So..i guess it is good thing, friendships were reconciled. happy moments^^I hope so..

Queenie as Miss 2S

then 3 special awards were given to Hadaina, Kavina and Queenie for their hardwork and voluntary work for the class. basically, berjasa or membantu banyak la.

then after, we went giving more tchers ice-cream and souvenirs.

soon after, we had to clean up.

our class took a long time to clean up everything..I think we were one of the last classes to finish cleaning up. but that was because we partied harder =)

yup..it was a great partay.
